Regarding big projects and
developments in Dubai like malls, clubs, streets and buildings, sport and
leisure have been a part of these growths. These facilities are not only to
make people happy and spend their free time but to attract people around the
world. This will increase the economic profits because tourists will spend
their money in shopping, subscribing in clubs, going to entertainment cities
like Wild Wadi Waterpark and Woderland, and sitting in coffee shops or
restaurants. Also, you can enjoy walking or excising on Jumeirah beach or Jumeirah
Beach Residence (JBR). There are many places to visit in Dubai like Dubai Mall,
Emirates Mall, Palm Island, JBR, Jumeirah beach and entertainment cities such
as Wild Wadi Waterpark and Wonderland. In my essay, I’m going to describe some
of these and how they became facilities for sport and leisure in Dubai city.
Dubai mall is not only the largest
shopping mall in the UAE but it is the largest mall in the world. It covers an area
of 13 million square feet; contains 1,200 shops so people can enjoy shopping
and has a 22 screen Cineplex cinema for enjoying watching movies. Also there
are 120 cafes and restaurants so you can taste delicious food or take a coffee
and read magazines. In addition, it contains a very big and beautiful fish
aquarium and water zoo where you can watch many different kinds of marine
animals and take pictures. Moreover, they provide diving courses for those who
like to be professional in diving with fish supervised by professional diving
trainers. Another facility: the mall is provided with a gym and park containing
a lot of games for both adults and children. Another one, you can play bowling
and take courses if you would like to be professional player. Also, there are
water shows that are like fireworks and draw beautiful different motions by
water with a nice music. If you see this show, you will think the water is
dancing to this music and you’ll adore the view. All of these help people to
explore this mall and spend their free time.
Mall of the Emirates is one of the
beautiful malls and considered as a resort. It consists of many different shops
with 560 international brands, the largest Carrefour in Dubai, 14 screen VOX
cinemas, 90 restaurants & cafes, the first indoor ski resort in the Middle
East and the snow park. The Ski resort and Snow Park are considered as the
first project in the UAE which make this mall different from other malls. Most
people are coming to this mall to enjoy playing with snow and for skiing. In addition,
there are trainers to give courses for people who like to learn how to ski or
who want to become professional in this sport. So, people can enjoy walking,
shopping, sitting in coffee shops and enjoying their free time. In fact, both
Dubai Mall and Mall of Emirates are decorated with beautiful colors and
different designs and introduce different shows every weekend such as acrobatic,
theatrical and humorous shows
that excite and attract people to them.
Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is
called also the walk and it is a waterfront location which makes it special.
You can enjoy walking on JBR and watching a lot of shops & coffee shops,
enjoying living in high class apartments with beautiful sea views, doing
exercises like swimming and running. Also, there is a similar place to JBR that
is located on the sea such as Al Mamzar Beach Park. It is a quiet place for
relaxing on the beach and for outings with family or friends. Moreover, it
offers barbecue sites so some families who like to spend their weekend on this
beach. In addition, it is provided with a flexible floor that allows you to do
exercises like jogging or walking around the beach.
Wild Wadi Waterpark and Wonderland
are considered as the world of fun. They are exciting places for enjoying with
a lot of games. They open every day so you can go any day. Wonderland contains
both water and wilderness games but Wild Wadi Waterpark contains only water
games. Both offer one day a week for families in order to give families the
comfort to enjoy the ramble with their children in these entertainment cities.
On the other hand, Wild Wadi has a game for riding waves or surfing which does not
exist in Wonderland and is considered as beautiful sport also. Yet, they
provide courses to learn how to ride waves and to balance your body to obtain
good control of the blade.
In conclusion, Dubai city becomes
one of the modern cities that challenge the world in accommodating everything
in the city. For instance; shopping malls, entertainment cities, long beaches
provided with facilities of doing exercises and clubs. They try to be different
from other cities. These facilities give people the pleasure, the place of
finding anything they want, the comforting life and the availability of all
international brands. So, people can spend their leisure time without the need
to travel to other countries to do sports because everything is available in
Dubai city.
